The Grand Canyon Tour starts with a stop at the Tangers Shopping Outlet in Barstow, CA taking a short stretch and a lunch stop. Here you’ll be able to shop at Coach, Reebok, Bass, etc. Then in another 2 hours or so, you’ll arrive in Las Vegas to get a quick glimpse of how Las Vegas looks like in day time so you could compare the stark contrast of Las Vegas during day time and night time. You’ll spend your stay at the Stratosphere Hotel.
There’s plenty of time to stroll around Las Vegas boulevard and take photos of the wonderful hotel and casinos. Optional night tour (additional fee applies) feature the Fremont Street, volcano eruption at Mirage, Gondola at Venetian, and the spectacular water fountain show at Belagio.
Day 2:
You will be given the opportunity to select between two Grand Canyon destinations, West Rim and South Rim.
Along the way to Grand Canyon, you will have the chance to overlook Lake Mead and stop at the magnificent Hoover Dam enroute to the historic Route 66 to Kingman, Arizona. The desert view of Arizona’s wilderness make you feel like going back to the time of the old west.
The South Rim tour creates an experience that allow you to discover the rugged desert and the way of life of the native Indians. Amazingly, you will be able to view one of the world’s largest forest of Joshua trees along the way. You’ll get a view of the various Indian teepees.
The West Rim is home to the the Hualapai Indians and provides an expectacular view of the Colorado River via Eagle Point and Guano Point. At the Eagle Point, you’ll have a chance to walk the clear glass of the newly built SkyWalk – a semi oval horseshoe like structure that protrudes out to give you a clear view of the canyon 4000 feet below as you walk the clear plexiglass. To some, walking on the clear glass could be quite intimidating.
Both rims gives you a good opportunity to take photographs of one of the seven wonders of the world. Helicopter rides are both available on both rims.
The tour heads back to Las Vegas and spend the night for a quick view of the Chinatown and dinner.
Day 3: Following morning gives you a chance to go to the world’s most famous chocolate candy factory, Ethel M’s M&M. The chocolate factory is also home to a botanical garden of cactus and succulents.
On the way home to Los Angeles, you’re given another chance to shop around at the Tanger’s outlet one more time after lunch.
